Solar PV basically senses when your solar panels are charging, and diverts the electricity generated to either your water tank, (emersion heater) or your car charging unit. This system is now becoming very popular to help properties to reduce the demand on the National Grid and also to reduce utility bills.
With the reduction in the feed in tariff, it is now becoming more beneficial to use the additional energy produced.
